OUR STORY
How We Got Here
Jacqueline started painting furniture long before it became a business. What started as a way to give solid wood pieces a second life turned into something neither of us expected — a full showroom, a custom painting service, and a customer base that spans NE Florida, South Georgia, and South Carolina.
Melvin joined what was already becoming something real and brought the same standard to every piece that Jacqueline had established from the beginning: solid wood only, proper prep, no shortcuts, and a finish that holds up to daily life.
When we moved to Orange Park and opened the showroom at 1580 Wells Rd, we knew exactly what kind of business we wanted to be. Not a big-box store. Not a discount furniture warehouse. A place where every piece on the floor was something we were proud to put our name on.
That's still exactly what this is.

Quality wood furniture sourced from estate sales and auctions, fully refinished in our shop. Heritage brands, coastal finishes, new hardware.
Custom Painting
Half of our work. We paint furniture you already own — bedroom sets, dressers, dining tables. Pickup, paint, and delivery included.
Wise Owl Paint Retail
Authorized Wise Owl retailer for Jacksonville and NE Florida. Full line in store and online. Free color consultation included.

Why We Use Wise Owl Paint On Every Project
We tested every major furniture paint on the market before settling on Wise Owl. It won on every measure that matters: adhesion, durability, finish quality, cure time, and safety. One Hour Enamel has a built-in topcoat baked into the formula — no separate sealer, no peeling, no yellowing over time. It's made in the USA with zero VOCs. Safe around kids and pets.
We use it on every piece we paint because we stand behind every piece we paint. Using anything else would mean using something we're less confident in — and that's not something we're willing to do.
Being an authorized Wise Owl retailer wasn't something we pursued as a revenue line. It was a natural extension of what we were already doing. Customers kept asking what paint we used and where they could get it. Now they can get it right here.

We hunt and source the area daily for the best and highest quality furniture in town. Solid wood, dove tail joints, quality construction is always our goal in our hunt. No paint we haven't personally tested and trusted. No shortcuts on prep — because a beautiful paint job on a badly prepped piece fails, and that's not something we're willing to put our name on.
No Shortcuts On Prep
Every custom painting project includes a free color consultation, professional pickup, full prep and repair, Wise Owl Paint with a built-in topcoat, new hardware, and delivery back to your home. It's included because it's part of doing the job right — not because we're trying to add line items to a quote.
We Stand Behind It
We stand behind our work. If something's wrong with a piece after delivery, we'll make it right. That's not a policy. That's just how we operate.

The best way to understand what we do is to come see it in person. The showroom is at 1580 Wells Rd #33 in Orange Park — about 20 minutes south of downtown Jacksonville, 4 minutes off 295.
Hours
We're open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 2pm, and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Off-hours appointments are available — just call or text.
